About HGS(INDIA) Limited :-

HGS (India) Limited, (HGSI) (erstwhile Geosource India Limited) a part of the Sowar group, was established in 1986 in technical and financial collaboration with Geosource Inc USA, owner of Sensor Nederland b.v. to manufacture geophone strings, seismic cables & connectors. When Geosource Inc was bought out by HGS Inc USA, Geosource India Limited changed its name to HGS (India) Ltd. Thereafter HGS Inc USA was bought and sold by a number of companies but HGSI has remained with that name. Between 2010 and 2013, Sensor Nederland/ION progressively shut its manufacturing operations in Jebel Ali (UAE), Beijing (China) and Voorschoten (the Netherlands) and shifted operations to HGSI in India. A new dedicated factory was built to house these activities. Since 2011, HGSI has been manufacturing and supplying geophones and geophone strings to various clients of Sensor/ION all over the world, and by the end of 2013 the manufacturing of the complete range of geophones was transferred over to HGSI. From January 2015, HGSI discontinued its manufacturing arrangement with Sensor/ION and launched its own range of HG-geophones whilst maintaining the same standards that customers are accustomed to receiving as in the past. To re-introduce and augment the research and development activity which was hitherto in Sensor Nederland’s domain, HGSI formed a wholly owned subsidiary, HGS Products b.v. based in The Hague, Netherlands in January 2015. HGS Products also houses the European Marketing and Sales Team. Over the years, HGSI has through indigenization and total quality management, been able to provide quality products at affordable prices to a majority of seismic contractors and oil companies all over the world. An award-winning business since 2008, HGSI is the holder of several awards and accolades, most recently including SME Empowering India Awards, 2018 for engineering goods and Capital First ET Now Leaders of Tomorrow Award, 2017 for electricals and electronics. Furthermore, the Company was recognized as a STAR EXPORT HOUSE by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry in 2010. HGSI's Mr. Anil Dass (Managing Director) has also been awarded the MSME India National Award-2013 for "Outstanding Entrepreneurship" Small Enterprises (Manufacturing). HGSI’s state-of-the-art factories are located in Manesar, Haryana close to New Delhi airport, with one unit dedicated entirely to the manufacture of a complete range of geophone elements and geophone strings. HGSI, having established itself as a global supplier for geophone strings (land and marsh), has an exhaustive product range which includes all types of telemetry, shallow refraction and multi pair cables and seismic connectors. With an in-house R&D capability, the Company’s focus is on continuous improvement of existing designs and development of new products based on industry requirements. HGSI is accredited with the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system issued by TUV SUD which includes design and engineering of geophone strings, specialty cables and connectors.
